Is there a way to load or import configuration without having to type it
into the console?

Thanks in advance

Several:
Cut and past into the terminal session being the simplest.
Depending on what your doing, global config mode is where
you will most likely do the pasting.
TFTP the configuration file down, edit it, TFTP it back up.
It takes a TFTP server you can find at Solarwinds and others.
SNMP Which takes some know how and software.
