I have new Anti Virus Software, works great, I have system tools by
avangst or omething like it. One porblem, there are these windows that
maghicall pop-up. One is from Ebay, the other, a dead link. Yet it
makes my icons disappear when I eliminate it.
What to do?

Scan for spyware and browser hijackers, specifically try HijackThis
