I had a server 2003 in the headquarter.
A local unit is connected by a vpn to headquarter network.
VPN is made up with two firewall hardware (Watchguard).
Headquarter network ip is 192.168.0.*, local unit network ip is
192.168.1.*

When I try to add a pc to domain from local unit the domain controller
is identified, but is impossible to add pc.
I think the problem is in DNS.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks

DNS client is the ip of controller domain (there is only a server in
the network)
Error message is:
Impossible to contact domain controller
DETAILS:
The query has identified this domain controller:
server2003.xxx

Error can be caused by:
1.Record host(A) that map controller domain name to related IP
addresses are missing or addresses are wrong.
2.Domain Controller registered in DNS aren't connected or are not
running

What do U exactly mean with "but is impossible toaddpc". Any error
messages? Which? What DNS is the client using?

This is a weird error. Most likeley there a problems with the netweork
implementation of the client.

Tools for more information:
netdiag.exe from Support Tools on the OS-CD
netsetup.log in the folder %systemroot%\debug

You also can try this:
1.) Try to change teh name of the workgroup. Reboot. Try to join the domain
again
2.) Reinstall TCP/IP (Windows 200) or reset TCP/IP Stack (Windows XP and
2003). For resetting TCP/IP follow this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357/en-us

Report results back here, please
