Hello,
Well it was working, and now its not.
Existing users are working fine.
ALL New users do not redirect (and also the GPO entry for wallpaper does not
work either for new users)
I don't believe any security settings were changed. I reviewed them and they
seemed all look normal.
What could be wrong? How to diagnose?
I actually copied existing users in the same OU's and they don't work. I
created new users from scratch and they don't work.
New users romaing profiles are created normally.
No GPO's were edited or changed.
Any ideas?
Thanks much,
Mark |

Ok, ok, a little more info.....I did do something a week ago.....
In a share audit last week I noticed that the sysvol and netlogon folder
were wide open to anyone that wanted at them, so I did something.
I don't quite remember what the something was, maybe removed everyone-share?
I now get log errors like:
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO
cn={3A9AF690-9587-41D0-B37C-0D4346D2EAD1},cn=policies,cn=system,DC=CHS,DC=local.
The file must be present at the location
<\\CHS.local\SysVol\CHS.local\Policies\{3A9AF690-9587-41D0-B37C-0D4346D2EAD1}\gpt.ini>. (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.
So, I screwed it up! (however the permissions still look normal to me)
OOOPPPPSSS!
Ok, how do I reset all my sysvol and netlogon permissions back to the "way
we were"?
Also, just in case, if I messed up the redirection folder as well, can
someone tell me what exactly the permissions should be for that share as well?
Thanks much,
Mark
