regarding autoneg and Rx and Tx status

Gsec Guest	Posted: Wed Mar 05, 2008 11:35 pm    Post subject: regarding autoneg and Rx and Tx status Hi, What is the expected behaviour when a switch X is connect to a peer P where AUTO NEG is disabled: 1) plugging out the tx cable on X --> should the port in X go down ? 2) plugging out the rx cable on X --> should the port in X go down ? How is this link code exchange happen between a switch X and peer P ?
